My role: Creative Director - Concept - Editor - Writer
ABOUT THE PROJECT
In May 2017 we had a course in "Editorial Design" where the challenge was to make your own magazine, containing everything from short articles to long reportages with focus on layout and idea/concept.
BEHIND THE SCENES
I named my magazine "Behind the Scenes" and based the content on my favourite interests and nerdy devotions; movie production. BTS is a celebration and tribute to the film industry and the people behind todays great pictures. It includes trivia about five of my favorite directors (Quentin Tarantino, James Cameron, Baz Luhrmann, Damien Chazelle and Ang Lee) and some of their (according to me) best work.
I felt this is a subject that has not yet got this kind of attention and I wanted to take this chance to make it happen.
PS. For me this was not only a layout project, I actually spent time writing the content. This was only for my own sake, resulting in a magazine you can actually read. By researching bts-material from movies I have at home, reading IMDB and fan-sites, scanning through youtube and through google for juicy trivia.
